Designer Hera Arkarakas watched models wearing jewelry from her namesake brand strut down the runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, held in New York earlier this month.
Arkarakas teamed with fashion designer Carmen Marc Valvo for his runway show, creating a limited edition line of cuffs, which were paired with his spring 2013 collection. Made in oxidized sterling silver, onyx and coral composite, models wore Hera jewelry with Valvo’s cocktail dresses, swimwear and ready-to-wear looks.

Hera jewelry is designed with wearability in mind, and is meant to be layered and easily transition from day to night, which was illustrated in the variety of outfits worn by the models that were paired with Hera cuffs.

“I am thrilled to have participated in a runway show in New York on the hells of my collection’s U.S. debut,” Arkarakas said. “Like Carmen, I design to make women look and feel beautiful. My jewelry, which is meant to be worn everyday, can also be dressed up and glamorous. Showing at Fashion Week and working with such an esteemed designer was the perfect platform to illustrate that concept and I am grateful for the opportunity.”
