Akron, Ohio--Kay Jewelers and Tolkowsky, the creator of the Ideal Cut diamond, are hosting a video contest that will afford one grand-prize winner a proposal package that includes a European trip and engagement ring.
To enter the “Ideal Love” contest, the retailer and the diamond brand are asking participants to submit a video to the contest’s website that describes their ideal love and what makes their relationship so unique.
The video, which can be no longer than 60 seconds, will be judged on creativity, relevance to the ideal love theme, and sincerity.
A panel of judges will narrow down the entries to five finalists, and beginning Nov. 3 fans will be able to vote for the love story they like best on the site. Fans can vote once a day until Nov. 7, and the entry with the most votes will receive the grand prize.
Those who vote for their favorite video will be entered to win a sweepstakes for a chance to win one of five $100 Kay Jewelers gift cards, and the four runners-up will receive a pair of Tolkowsky Ideal Cut diamond earrings.
The grand-prize winner will receive a European getaway that includes a seven-day, six-night trip for two to Antwerp and Paris, along with $1,000 in spending money; a guided tour of Paris, including lunch at the Eiffel Tower; a guided tour of Tolkowsky; and a personal diamond-cutting class where the couple will begin cutting their own Ideal Cut diamond, to be placed in a ring of the winner’s choice, valued up to $5,000.
Additional information on the Ideal Love contest can be found here, and a video promoting the contest is now posted on YouTube.
