Let's be honest. It might be fun to see next season's top fashion trends at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City, but just as fun (if not more so) is seeing what attendees are wearing. Usually decked out in just as much designer garb as the runway models themselves, attendees reveal what's hot now (minus the man in leopard pants I saw on Tuesday).
Another favorite pastime of mine is watching people watch other people at these shindigs. So while I saw some interesting jewelry on Badgley Mischka's runway, I also enjoyed watching J Alexander of America's Next Top Model fame judge models sashaying past him with either looks of approval or horror.
What can I say? The show surrounding the show can be much more fun.
