I am obsessed with tassels. Those on curtains, lamps or other household fixtures, not so much. But the jewelry sort? Bring them on.
There's just something downright glam about swinging metal fringe and the Old Hollywood feel that tassel pieces convey. Exhibit A: Leslie Bibb at the Hollywood premiere of Iron Man.
The actress, who plays a persistent journalist in the film, looks like she just stepped off a 1930s sound stage. Her diamond tassel earrings are from Amrapali of Jaipur, and they're a fun play on the ubiquitous drop earrings that stars on all ends of the red carpet love to sport.
Just one warning: If you choose to try on a fringe-bearing piece of your own, be prepared for close encounters of the stranger kind. My favored tassel necklace has been the object of numerous unexpected, albeit admiring, touches.
