The American Gem Society is now accepting requests for proposals from potential breakout speakers for next year’s event.

Las Vegas--The American Gem Society is now accepting requests for proposals from potential breakout speakers for its 84th annual Conclave, scheduled to take place April 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee.
AGS is looking for presenters on a variety of topics, including appraising, ethics, gemology, in-store events, succession planning, technology, and marketing and sales.
The organization wants to have a mix of panel discussions, insider insights and hands-on classes for attendees of varying education levels (i.e., beginner, intermediate, advanced) at the four-day event.
Conclave 2018 will take place in Nashville from Monday, April 23 through Thursday, April 26, giving attending retailers the chance to get back to their stores for the weekend.
Speaker RFPs can be completed online and must be submitted by July 15.
The AGS will review each submission and potential speakers will be notified on the status of their submission by Nov. 30.
For questions, contact Alethea Inns, AGS’s director of gemology and education, at ainns@ags.org.
