Conference on Competing in the ‘New World’ Set for Oct.
The Edge and The Edge Retail Academy are holding the event at The Edge’s corporate headquarters in Shelton, Conn.
Shelton, Conn.--The Edge and The Edge Retail Academy are teaming up to hold an event this fall designed to help jewelers run their businesses more efficiently.
The “Competing in the New World of Retail: Technology + Strategy = Success” conference is scheduled for Oct. 16 to 18 at The Edge’s corporate headquarters in Shelton, Conn. and is open to more than 3,000 Edge software users.
Over the three days, the conference will cover a number of topics critical for today’s jewelers, including various aspects of business management, financial strategies, marketing and staff training.
Specific presentation titles range from “Profit Does Not Equal Cash Flow” and “Effectively Getting Rid of Aged Inventory” to “Recruiting Top Talent” and “Selling to the Internet Shopper,” among others.
It costs $395 for the first staff member from a store and $295 per store employee after that.
The conference will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, with lunch included. The first day will end with a cocktail reception and the second day will finish with cocktails and dinner.
