Big Names from Christie’s, Lagos to Speak at GIA Career Fair
At the event, which will coincide with the JA New York Summer show, a panel of leading industry executives will talk about success in today’s market.

New York--The Gemological Institute of America has announced which leading industry executives will take part in a panel during its upcoming Jewelry Career Fair.
The event will take place on Monday, July 25, coinciding with the JA New York Summer show at the Jacob K. Javits Center.
Susan Jacques, the president and CEO of GIA, will open the career fair with a panel entitled “Job Success in Today’s Market.”
Panelists who will be there to offer their advice on the topic are: Rahul Kakadia, the international head of jewelry at Christie’s; Steven Lagos, the chief creative director and founder of the Lagos jewelry brand; Martin Rapaport, chairman of the Rapaport Group; Natalie Tjaden, a recent GIA graduate and merchandising assistant for Jewelry Television; and Yancy Weinrich, the senior vice president of Reed Jewelry Group.
GIA’s Jewelry Career Fair is free for job seekers and open to the public, though registration is encouraged. Fifty job recruiters will be on-site to chat with attendees, and there also will be a number of career coaches.
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
