GIA’s Career Fair to Return to New York in July
Scheduled for July 25 in conjunction with the JA New York Summer show, the recruiting event will include a panel discussion, one-on-one career coaching and hiring opportunities.

Carlsbad, Calif.--The Gemological Institute of America will hold its Jewelry Career Fair in New York again this summer, and it will include a panel discussion, one-on-one career coaching and hiring opportunities.
The event is scheduled for Monday, July 25 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center during the JA New York Summer show. It is free and open to all, and the hours are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In addition to many gem and jewelry companies looking to hire professionals at every stage in their careers, the career fair will include one-on-one career coaching and education.
GIA President and CEO Susan Jacques will lead the opening panel, “Job Success in Today’s Market” featuring Rahul Kadakia, international head of jewelry for Christie’s; Steven Lagos, founder and chief creative director for Lagos; Natalie Tjaden of Jewelry Television; and Yancy Weinrich, senior vice president of JCK.
