New York--Initiatives in Art & Culture will hold its sixth annual Gold Conference this week, featuring two full days of presentations focusing on gold and the jewelry industry.
The event, “Gold: Mentors, Milestones, and Metamorphosis,” will take place on April 28 and 29 at the Graduate Center at the City University of New York, with both days featuring full days of speakers and presentations as well as private receptions and viewings.
Some of the sessions to be covered include Milestones on the Journey to Ethical Sourcing and Transparency, a panel moderated by Rob Bates and featuring designers Kimberly McDonald and Henry Dunay; Shops That POP! 7 Steps to Extraordinary Retail Success, a talk and panel moderated by Pamela Danziger; The Chinese Market for Gold and Its Impact on the United States by Evert deGraeve, who is now spearheading design and merchandising for the Judith Ripka brand; and One Year Out: The New Method for Setting the Price of Gold--A Progress Report by Finbarr Hutcheson.
