IDCA Hosts Annual Gala During Tucson Shows
The Indian Diamond & Colorstone Association, New York, presented QVC, American Gemological Laboratories and IDCA veteran Kailash Jhalani with awards.

Tucson, Ariz.--The Indian Diamond & Colorstone Association held its grand gala event during the AGTA GemFair show in Tucson on Feb. 4 at the Marriott University Park Hotel, honoring a number of industry members for their work.
The IDCA awarded QVC the E-Tailer of the Year award. Jennifer Hankinson, the company’s buyer of gemstones and jewelry, accepted on behalf of the on-air and online retailer.
The Excellence in Gemology award was given to the American Gemological Laboratories, with President Christopher Smith accepting the award and thanking his team for their hard work and dedication.
Additionally, IDCA veteran Kailash Jhalani was honored with the Leader of the Community award. As he accepted his award, Jhalani thanked the board members and noted that colored stones inspire him with their beauty and versatility.
Sunil Agrawal, president of the VGL Group and Past President of IDCA, gave the keynote address at the gala, using his experience from a long career in the gemstone industry to share his unique perspective on how to run a successful business.
Dinner and entertainment followed the awards portion of the evening.
