Q&A on brands, merchandise to lead Centurion show
Centurion has outlined the educational program for its upcoming Select show in Dallas, and announced the promotion of Barri Singer to national sales executive.
Merrick, N.Y.--A question-and-answer session with retailers that will cover brands and merchandising will kick off this year’s Select by Centurion Dallas show.
Scheduled for Aug. 30 and 31 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, the show will offer a host of designers and manufacturers, networking opportunities and educational seminars.
The Q&A breakfast, “Brands and Your Merchandise Mix,” will be held on Sunday, Aug. 30 from 9 to 10 a.m. with Randy Cooper of Randy Cooper Fine Jewelry in Wichita, Kan. and Kathy Fleck of Occasions Fine Jewelry in Midland, Texas.
On Monday, Aug. 31, the breakfast education program will continue with “Six No-Cost Display Changes That Will Immediately Increase Your Sales,” with Larry B. Johnson of Larry Johnson Consulting Services, scheduled for 9 to 10 a.m.
This year’s show also is offering a “Key Promotion.” Attendees will be able to collect keys from exhibitors after completing meetings and exchange them at registration for raffle tickets, which can be entered into a drawing to win at-show purchasing credits.
Registration for the show is available on the Select by Centurion website.
In addition, Centurion recently announced the promotion of Barri Singer from account executive to national sales manager, effective immediately.
Singer joined Centurion in 2012 and has worked on booth, sponsorship and advertising sales, as well as assisted invited retail jewelers in making their plans for the shows. Members of the sales team now will report to her, and Singer will report to President Howard Hauben.
“(Singer) has been a great team player for Centurion for more than three years and has enhanced the group with her professionalism, enthusiasm and high energy,” Hauben said.
