While UBM did not disclose the value of the transaction Women’s Wear Daily reported Monday that Advanstar’s price tag is “about $900 million.”
Included in UBM’s portfolio of events is a number of fine jewelry trade shows, including the Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair that concluded Sunday as well as jewelry fairs in Delhi, Japan, Hyderabad, Singapore and other locations.
Advanstar produces the Magic Marketplace events held in Vegas biannually, which offer accessories including jewelry, as well as a series of 16 focused shows held in New York throughout the year.
