National Jeweler’s top 5 Instagram posts
In honor of the social network’s fifth anniversary, National Jeweler takes a look at that five posts that have resonated the most with its followers.
And yet it’s true. This week, Instagram, which launched in October 2010, celebrates five years of photo sharing with more than 400 million current active users.
Instagram provides the perfect platform for visually oriented industries, and jewelry is no exception.
Since National Jeweler joined the network two years ago, the team has used it to share jewelry seen at press events, trade shows and even their own personal favorites, as well as some behind-the-scenes shots and other fun pictures from around town.
As Instagram turns 5, the editors look back at the five posts that garnered the most “likes.” It’s no surprise that the top photos feature exceptional and large stones--with opal coming out as the reigning gem--as well as innovative and unique designs.
