Lugano Diamonds Opens Greenwich Salon
The Connecticut store marks the luxury brand’s seventh location.

Housed in a historic building from 1916, the store was designed by Studio 43D with interior conception by Lugano COO and co-founder Idit Ferder.
The 3,500 square-foot floorplan boasts a sophisticated, warm, and inviting atmosphere, and features a fireplace, as well as handmade furniture and decor pieces.
The interior flooring is by Jamie Beckwith Collection, and includes a light sculpture by Andreea Braescu, furniture by Ceccotti Collezioni, Adrianna Hoyos, Porada, and Barbara Barry, as well as artwork by America Martin.
Lugano Diamonds, which was acquired in 2021 by investment holding company Compass Diversified, was founded in 2004 by husband and wife, Moti and Idit Ferder.
The company was built on Moti’s longtime vision of offering “one-of-a-kind wearable works of art,” which he dreamed up while working with his family’s rough diamond business, which was founded in Antwerp, Belgium in 1965.
Today, the company has multiple locations across the U.S. and upholds a “passion for building relationships, community and philanthropy,” having partnered with like-minded brands and organizations in the equestrian, automotive, arts and culture, culinary, and golf industries.
To bring its philanthropic initiatives to its Greenwich location, the company is working with local organizations including the Bruce Museum, Greenwich Country Day School, Greenwich Hospital, Junior League of Greenwich, and the Greenwich International Film Festival.
“We are thrilled to be opening our Lugano Diamonds salon in Greenwich, a city brimming with culture and arts, aligning perfectly with our brand’s values and passions,” said Moti.
“We are truly looking forward to getting to know the community and establishing a presence here through our philanthropic efforts.”
Its other salons are located in Newport Beach, California; Aspen, Colorado; Palm Beach, Florida; Ocala, Florida; Houston, Texas; and Washington, D.C.; and it also has a salon that travels the equestrian circuit.
Its London salon is scheduled to open in 2024.
