Citizen Introduces New Series 8 GMT Mechanical Watches
The three new models are the series’ first to include a GMT function.

A first for the sporty collection, all three new 880 models feature a GMT function, allowing the wearer to see the time in three time zones, the third by utilizing the bi-directional rotating bezel.
The lineup also features magnetic resistance to protect against magnetic fields encountered in everyday life, like from smartphones and tablets, and boasts a comfortable fit, Citizen said.
The dial design of the two stainless-steel versions is an ode to Tokyo’s skyline filled with skyscrapers and rows of windows. The abstract design is also a take on traditional check patterns that represent prosperity in Japanese culture, Citizen explained.
The stainless-steel case features both mirror and brushed finishes.
The transparent case-back reveals the watch’s mechanical Cal.9054 movement with its magnetic resistance and approximate 50-hour run time.
The 41mm watch is available with a black dial and black and blue bezel (NB6031-56E) and blue dial with blue and red bezel (NB6030-59L).
Both models are priced at $1,695 and will be available this fall.
Joining these models is a third, gold-plated, limited-edition version, the NB6032-53P, also equipped with a GMT function.
The gold edition will also be available this fall, limited to 1,300 watches and priced at $1,795.
The watch’s fabrication is inspired by Japan’s autumnal color palette.
The case, band, and dial feature varying complementary shades of yellow and rose gold thanks to gold plating over stainless steel.
The patterned dial is inspired by light and shade, a reference to autumn grasses illuminated by sunset, Citizen said.
