Thieves Steal $2M in Jewelry in Another Brooklyn Robbery
Police are on the lookout for three suspects wanted in a smash-and-grab attack at a jewelry store in the borough’s Park Slope neighborhood.

Surveillance video captured three men entering the store around 5 p.m. on Jan. 8, according to information shared by the New York Police Department.
Armed with hammers, the thieves smashed display cases and grabbed the jewelry inside, fleeing on foot.
The men stole mostly rings, said the NYPD, with a total value of approximately $2 million.
Fox 5 New York reporter Lisa Evers shared surveillance video of the incident in a tweet.

When an employee reached for the phone, the robbers threatened to shoot them, she said, though they did not take out a gun.
There were no injuries. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
Facets shared news of the robbery on its Instagram page alongside video of an interview Sulay did with Fox & Friends First.
Facets assured clients that their items were safe, as they were locked in its vault, and that it would be taking measures to prevent this from happening again.
“We are very sad, not only for our experience, but for Park Slope as a community. We insist on being stronger as a result of this incident. This is our home too; we support and welcome your advocacy and support politically to petition for more police presence and safety systems to protect our residents and businesses of Park Slope.”
The store will be open by appointment only until further notice.
A week prior and only two miles away, thieves targeted Roxy Jewelry, located in the Prospect Lefferts Garden neighborhood of Brooklyn, on Dec. 30. They left with around $100,000 worth of jewelry.
The 79-year-old store owner was brutally beaten during the robbery and placed in intensive care.
The Jewelers’ Security Alliance is offering a reward for any information leading to the arrests of the two individuals involved in the Roxy Jewelry robbery.
