Naples, Fla.—"The Radiance” has found a new place to shine.

Last week, Marissa Collections and the Couture show jointly announced the debut of the 13 capsule collections of diamond jewelry that comprise The Radiance on the Marissa Collections website.

The collections’ online launch brings an award-winning retailer known for its support of independent designers together with an assemblage of BIPOC artists who have “distinctive points of view.”

Launched at the Couture show this year, The Radiance marks the culmination of the mentorship program created by Couture’s Diversity Action Council. The DAC was formed in 2020 in response to calls for more inclusion and equity in the fine jewelry world.

De Beers Group supported the program, providing the designers with diamonds from Code of Origin, the mine-to-market tracing initiative the company introduced during the 2021 Las Vegas shows, to use in their pieces.

The Radiance designers are: Angely Martinez, Ashley Thorne of A.M. Thorne, Jules Kim of Bijules, Kassandra Gordon of KLG Jewellery, Khadijah Fulton of White/Space, Lola Oladunjoye of Lola Fenhirst, Lorraine West, Maggi Simpkins, Melanie Eddy, Olivia Shih, Sara Bautista of Common Rite Supply, Viviana Langhoff, and Zulaikha Aziz of Mazahri.

Marissa Collections CEO Jay Hartington said the store is “thrilled” to launch The Radiance by Couture on its website, adding, “We are confident that the stories behind the work, coupled with their use of fully traceable Code of Origin diamonds from De Beers, will be compelling to our loyal following of discerning collectors.”

Marissa and Burt Hartington opened clothing and accessories retailer Marissa Collections in a small shop in Naples, Florida, in 1975. They eventually opened a larger store in Old Naples and a second location across the state in Palm Beach last year.

Along the way, Jay joined the family business and brought in fine jewelry.

Earlier this year, Marissa Collections won the Gem Award for Retail Excellence, a nod to the impact and influence it has on the industry.

Couture Director Gannon Brousseau called the retailer an “ideal platform” to showcase the work of the designers who comprise The Radiance.

“Marissa Collections has a well-earned reputation for introducing designers who have gone on to become some of the biggest names in designer fine jewelry,” he said. “Their commitment to aligning with exceptional talent and nurturing the success of the brands with whom they partner is unprecedented and highly commendable.”

Marissa Collections began selling The Radiance online Dec. 1. It is promoting the designers’ collections via a cross-platform marketing campaign that includes digital advertising, social media and events.

There are a total of 56 pieces across all 13 capsule collections. Crafted using precious metals and natural diamonds, with a few designers incorporating colored gemstones like lapis lazuli and opal, the jewels are priced starting at $1,950 retail.

A limited number of pieces are available immediately while the rest are made-to-order with a four- to six-week window for delivery.
