September Hong Kong Show to Return in 2023
Informa Markets also announced the return of Jewellery & Gem Asia Hong Kong (JGA) in June.

On Tuesday, Informa Markets announced that Jewellery & Gem World Hong Kong (formerly known as the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair) is scheduled to take place in September 2023.
The show will return to its two-venue, product category-specific format.
The section of the show featuring vendors selling jewelry materials, such as loose stones, is scheduled for Sept. 18-22 at the AsiaWorld-Expo, while the finished jewelry/packaging/equipment and tools/technology portion will take place from Sept. 20-24 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Once one of the key events in the trade show calendar, the September Hong Kong show has not happened in three years.
It was canceled due to COVID -19 for a couple years, then moved to Singapore this September, one of a number of exhibitions and events relocated from Hong Kong due to its strict travel restrictions.
The announcement of the return of the show comes as pandemic restrictions are relaxed in Hong Kong, key among them the elimination of mandatory hotel quarantine at the end of September.
Show organizers are banking on the easing to continue into 2023.
“We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Hong Kong,” said Celine Lau, director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets Jewellery. “We recognize that certain things are beyond our control, but we are optimistic that the city will move toward further reopening when conditions allow.
“There’s an excitement expressed by so many in our community for the eventual return of the June and September fairs. It’s not even a question of whether they will join the shows, but more of, when should they book their flights to Hong Kong?”
Also on Tuesday, Informa Markets announced the return of Jewellery & Gem Asia Hong Kong, the show formerly known as the June Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair.
It is scheduled to take place June 22-25 at the Hong Kong exhibition center.
