Nominations Are Open for Gem Awards 2023
The 21st annual awards show and gala will take place in New York City next March.

Jewelers of America and the Gem Awards Committee are now accepting submissions for the 2023 Gem Awards.
The 21st annual gala is set for Friday, March 17 at Cipriani 42nd St. in New York City. Typically held in January, pandemic complications moved the 2022 event to March. Next year, the awards will stick to the new time frame.
There will be five award categories. They are jewelry design, marketing and communications, media excellence, retail excellence, and watch excellence.
Individuals and companies can submit themselves or others for consideration. Nominees should be companies and individuals who raise the visibility of fine jewelry and watches.
Comprised of industry members, the Gem Awards Committee will review submissions to determine the final nominees.
For 2023, committee members are:
• Randi Udell Alper, London Jewelers;
• Sarin Bachmann, Reed Jewelry Group;
• David Bonaparte, Jewelers of America;
• Gannon Brousseau, The Jewelry Group—Emerald Expositions;
• Annie Doresca, Jewelers of America and Black in Jewelry Coalition;
• Tanya Dukes, writer and editor;
• Dorit Engel, Chanel;
• Marion Fasel, The Adventurine;
• Rebecca Foerster, Hearts On Fire North America;
• Michelle Graff, National Jeweler;
• Lauren Harwell Godfrey, Harwell Godfrey;
• Will Kahn, writer and stylist; and
• Matthew Rosenheim, Tiny Jewel Box.
After announcing nominees, a panel of industry experts votes for the winner, with ballots sent to an independent third-party firm and the results kept secret until the live awards showcase.
“The Gem Awards Committee is looking forward to reviewing the submissions and putting together the highest caliber group of nominees and honorees for the 2023 GEM Awards,” said Jewelers of America Director of PR & Events Amanda Gizzi.
“We are coming off an incredible 20th annual GEM Awards that honored five immensely talented jewelry professionals and brands. 2022 has already displayed the growth, creativity and brilliance within our industry and we look forward to bringing that talent into the spotlight with GEM Awards.”
