WJA to Host Diversity Keynote at New Las Vegas Breakfast Event
The Generating Community Impact fundraiser on June 11 will feature Karine Bah Tahé of Blue Level Training.
New York—The Women’s Jewelry Association is launching a new fundraising event during Las Vegas market week.
The organization will host its Generating Community Impact Breakfast at the JCK Las Vegas trade show on Saturday, June 11 at 8 a.m. PDT, focusing on the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the industry.
The breakfast will feature a keynote presentation by Karine Bah Tahé, founder and CEO of Blue Level Training, a Black woman-owned enterprise focused on training that builds diverse, inclusive, and respectful work environments.
Bah Tahé has spent the last 10 years working in training, international recruitment, C-suite DEI development, and international business journalism.
With areas of expertise including diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, inclusive communications,
microaggressions, and sexual harassment prevention, she has worked with international leaders, diplomats, academics, and senior business executives from various industries around the world.
During the JCK event, participants will learn about the importance of DEI training within their own companies and the impact it can have on a business’s success.
WJA Foundation will also share about its multi-dimensional funding framework during the event, which focuses on supporting jewelry education and business development, responsible sourcing and sustainability education, and DEI education.
Tickets for the breakfast can be purchased on the WJA website.
Early-bird pricing—$25 for members and $35 for non-members—is in effect through May 29. On May 30, it goes up to $35 for members and $45 for non-members.
A portion of ticket sales will benefit the WJA Foundation.
