Webinar Promises Behind-the-Scenes Look at Diamond-Growing Process
Presented by GCAL and WD Lab Grown Diamonds, the webinar will include a Q&A session.
“From Seed to Certification: A Behind-the-Scenes Tour of the Diamond Growth and Certification Process” is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 10 at 3 p.m. EST.
WD’s Chief Process Officer Jonathan Levine-Miles will give a step-by-step overview of how the company grows its stones, from diamond seed selection to the stone’s atom-by-atom growth within the chamber to polishing.
Founded in 2008, the company distributes diamonds under the WD Lab Grown Diamonds and Latitude brands.
It specializes in producing high-quality, “as grown” (untreated) diamonds and was the first diamond company in the world to be sustainability rated and to achieve a “100% Climate Neutrality” seal from SCS Global Services.
GCAL Chief Operating Officer Angelo Palmieri will walk webinar attendees through the lab’s process of grading a man-made diamond, including assessing its make and light performance, creating its digital GCAL certificate, registering its Gemprint fingerprint, and making 360-degree videos.
The GCAL team will then wrap up with an overview of how they work with SCS Global Services.
A question-and-answer session will follow the presentations by Levine-Miles and Palmieri.
The webinar will take place on Zoom. To register, visit this page.
