
Originally scheduled for Jan. 21-26, Vicenzaoro January, the Jewellery Boutique Show, will now take place March 17-21, 2022.
Announced in a press release late last week, the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) said its decision was based off general market consensus and consulting with vendors and trade associations.
IEG said it would be, “impossible to attract significant attendance from both Italy and abroad, including Europe,” given the prevalence of COVID-19.
Vicenzaoro January last took place in 2020. Vicenzaoro held its September event in 2021, the first in-person show to take place in Europe since the pandemic ramped up.
CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation, had planned to hold its general assembly gathering concurrently with Vicenzaoro at the Vicenza Exhibition Centre from Jan. 24-25, but will now also be postponed, taking place March 17-18.
Last month, several New York City jewelry events scheduled for January 2022 announced they were postponing.
The Gem Awards, 24 Karat Club Banquet, the Jewelers Security Alliance annual luncheon, and Jewelers Vigilance Committee’s annual luncheon are now scheduled for March 18-19, 2022.
