The 24 Karat Club Banquet Is Delayed Due to Omicron
The Jewelers Vigilance Committee and Jewelers Security Alliance annual luncheons are also postponed.

The annual 24 Karat Club Banquet has been postponed from Saturday, Jan. 15 to Saturday, March 19, 2022.
The official announcement from the 24 Karat Club of the City of New York comes as New York State announced its highest recorded number of coronavirus cases in a single day since the pandemic began, which epidemiologists attribute to the Omicron variant.
Club Chairman Bobby Kempler said, “While we had all hoped the pandemic would be behind us by now and we could again gather to celebrate, the safety of our members and guests is paramount. For this reason, the board felt it prudent to postpone the banquet by two months.”
It’s the first time in 100 years the banquet will be held on a date other than January.
The banquet will take place at the originally scheduled venue, Cipriani South Street, the freshly renovated historic 1906 Beaux Arts Maritime Building in New York City.
Other jewelry industry events scheduled for the same January weekend are likewise rescheduled to March.
The Gem Awards will be held Friday, March 18.
The Jewelers Vigilance Committee and Jewelers Security Alliance annual luncheons will take place Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19, respectively.
