Laster this month, the Jewelers Vigilance Committee and the Jewelers Board of Trade are holding an online education session outlining what manufacturers and marketers need to know about the Federal Trade Commission’s shift from its former “Enforcement Policy Statement on U.S. Origin Claims” to its new rule governing “Made in the USA” claims.
The webinar is scheduled for Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. EDT.

Yood has extensive experience in legal compliance and intellectual property (IP) law and is well- versed in numerous issues that impact the jewelry industry, including anti-money laundering regulations and responsible sourcing.
She is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and Fordham Law School, and is a member of the Fashion Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
Jacobs joined the Jewelers Board of Trade in 2018 to oversee all aspects of IT and collection operations. He became president in August 2019.
He received his bachelor’s in economics and his master’s in business from the University of Wisconsin.
